Your Archery Questions, Answered

Hey folks! We get asked lots of questions about our Archery activity, so to make things super easy for you, we’ve put this super handy video together. Alternatively, you can read the answers to our most frequently asked questions below.

What are the minimum and maximum age requirements?

Our minimum age requirement for Archery is 8 years old. We do not have a maximum age just as long as the person is healthy enough to participate.

Can my child participate without me?

For younger children, it is highly likely that they'll need help during the archery session so we do not allow them to participate without supervision - this means both adult and child will need to book on to the session together.

Can I bring my dog to your archery sessions?

You can bring your pup along! We do require them to be on a lead for the duration of the session for health and safety reasons.

How long are your archery sessions?

Every archery session has a duration of 90 minutes with a pre-arrival of half an hour before the session starts.

Do you provide all the equipment?

We provide all equipment needed for your archery activity with us, so no need to worry about bringing any. We do not allow you to bring your own archery equipment as we are unable to safety check it against our health and safety standards.

Where are your archery sites situated?

We have two sites for archery, Hartford Woods and Hazel Copse. During the winter months, archery is situated at Hartford Woods as it is sheltered from high winds and bad weather, and we move to Hazel Copse in the spring and summer months when these factors are no longer an issue. The two sites are only a short drive away from one another so this shouldn’t make much difference to your journey.

Are there places to get food and drink on site?

There isn’t anywhere to get food and drinks at our archery sites, so make sure to bring snacks to keep you going throughout the session.

What happens if the weather is bad and I want to cancel?

Our activities go ahead in almost all weathers and we’re experts at maximising the fun, even in the rain! If we are made aware that you wish to cancel your booking within 48 hours of your activity you will lose your payment and we will be unable to rebook you. If we are given 7-days notice, we can offer a full refund or credit. Between those times, 50% credit will be offered. Upon booking, you can opt to pay our optional Poor Weather Insurance. This enables you to cancel your activity up until 5pm the day before and you’ll be eligible to move dates or receive a full refund. Our ‘Poor Weather Insurance’ fee is £2.50 per person. This is only available at the time of the booking and not applicable to same day bookings. We always cancel sessions and rebook or refund customers for no charge if we deem weather conditions to be unsafe.
