Your High and Low Ropes Questions, Answered
Hey folks! We get asked lots of questions about our high and low ropes activity, so to make things super easy for you, we’ve put this super handy video together. Alternatively, you can read the answers to our most frequently asked questions below.
What are the minimum and maximum age requirements?
Our minimum age requirement for the ropes course is 8 years and we don’t have a maximum just as long as the person is healthy enough to participate.
Can my child participate without me?
For our family sessions, it’s highly likely that your child will need help during their high ropes session so we do not allow them to participate without supervision - this means both adult and child will need to book on to the session together. There is a sheltered seating area for extra members of the gang who just wish to observe.
What do I need to wear and bring with me?
We provide all equipment needed for your high ropes activity with us, so no need to worry about bringing any. Just make sure you’re dressed for the weather! For when it’s hot, we recommend wearing shorts, a t-shirt and a hat to protect you from the sun. A bottle of water and some sunscreen is also advised. For when it’s cold, you’re going to want to layer up, with a waterproof jacket, trousers, hat and gloves to keep yourself warm, as all of our ropes course sites are situated outside in the gorgeous New Forest.
Are your high and low ropes courses guided?
Unlike, say, GoApe; our ropes course sessions aren’t a ‘clip on and go’ system and instead are expertly guided by our friendly instructors who will help you make the most of your time up in the trees! With different games and group activities to enjoy such as crate stacking, the high all aboard and the leap of faith, there’s plenty of fun to be had.
Do I need experience to join?
You do not need any experience to join us on our ropes course, as all sessions are catered towards beginners.
Can I bring my dog along?
You can even bring your pup along, but we do require them to be on a lead for the duration of the session for health and safety reasons.
Which sessions can I join to go on the low or high ropes?
We have different types of sessions for our Ropes Course and we can tailor them to any kind of group. From our Family Woodland Adventure Days (which you can easily book online), to sessions for adult groups or young people (which tend to be a little more bespoke). We’ll work with you to build you the perfect day at our ropes course depending on your group and their needs
What facilities do you have at the ropes course?
We do have toilets and free parking however this is limited so we recommend car sharing where possible. There isn’t anywhere to get food and drinks on site at our ropes course, so make sure to bring snacks or a packed lunch to keep you going throughout the session.
What happens if the weather is bad and I want to cancel?
Our activities go ahead in almost all weathers and we’re experts at maximising the fun, even in the rain! If we are made aware that you wish to cancel your booking within 48 hours of your activity you will lose your payment and we will be unable to rebook you. If we are given 7-days notice, we can offer a full refund or credit. Between those times, 50% credit will be offered. Upon booking, you can opt to pay our optional Poor Weather Insurance. This enables you to cancel your activity up until 5pm the day before and you’ll be eligible to move dates or receive a full refund. Our ‘Poor Weather Insurance’ fee is £2.50 per person. This is only available at the time of the booking and not applicable to same day bookings. We always cancel sessions and rebook or refund customers for no charge if we deem weather conditions to be unsafe.
How do I book?
To book your high and low ropes session we generally require you to call us, as our ropes course sessions are a little more bespoke. However if you’re a family or couple, you can book our Woodland Adventure Days online through our website where you’ll take part in some high and low ropes alongside a host of other woodland activities.
And that’s it! We can’t wait for you to join us for some amazing ropes course fun real soon. See you then!
