The Best New Forest Beaches
The New Forest is home to several awe-inspiring beaches that are perfect for bird watching, stretching your legs and being at peace with the stunning scenery. Here at New Forest Activities, we’re only a short distance away from several beaches that you can visit as a chill out spot after an action packed adventure with us!
Lepe Beach
Lepe Beach has extensive views of the Isle of Wight and is very dog friendly, including the ‘Lookout’ cafe. Do note that it does get busy during the summer months, so we’d recommend packing a picnic lunch and finding a quiet spot to enjoy the views!
Calshot Beach
You’ll get a fantastic view of the ships coming and going from Southampton port here, and is home to a 16th century castle built by Henry VIII. It’s also the perfect destination for kite or wind surfing and features a salt marsh on the other side of the spit, which is great for spotting flora and fauna.
Highliffe and Avon Beach
If you’re looking for a beach with fine sand and little pebbles, then look no further than Highcliffe and Avon! They have a restaurant situated within called ‘The Noisy Lobster’ which has an impressive 4.5 Google review rating.
Hengistbury Head
This nature reserve west of the New Forest is home to 300 different bird species and is known as a renowned nature reserve. It's the perfect spot for dog walking as they're welcome year round, and there are toilets on site with food and drink available.
